Lavaux wineyards, Montreux, Castle of Chillon

Further along the lake, after having strolled inside the narrow paths of the Unesco heritage wineyard of the world, called LAVAUX, and tasted local excellent wines, we will visit Montreux with its mediterranean microclimate. You cannot fail to notice the exotic flowers and trees as soon as we arrive. Montreux’s Casino and the statue of Freddy Mercury overlook the lake. Later we will go to one of Switzerland’s most visited castles, Chillon. We will then go to Lausanne and its ‘City’ to visit its famous Gothic Cathedral dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The palace of Rumine, Italian Renaissance style where a variety of museums can be found then continue up through the narrow streets of the old town which will lead us to the local market offering delicious organic produces, the Statue of Justice and the Lausanne’s original talking clock. Lausanne is also famed for its Olympic Museum and its new Committee building. Before getting there, we might stop at a small charming village.
